Kerry's 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Restoration (1765GT)
The inventorying was interesting. As I had previously looked at another PF coupe that was apart, I had made an Excel spreadsheet with all of the various components and parts that I could think of. This was printed out on three sheets, and Tom and I just looked through everything trying to find each item.
The whole process took a couple of hours. I also took quite a few pictures of the car, engine, etc.
In the end, I had a pretty good idea of what was missing and would need to be obtained. A few of the smaller items may turn up once the car is delivered and I can sort through everything in a methodical way. After that was all done, Tom and I went back to his office to discuss price and determine what missing items he had in stock. For any of you that have been to Tom's business, order is not high on his priority list. So when Tom would say he had something, it might take a 10-15 minute search to find it. So a couple of hours were spent doing this along with discussing what original tools I could weasel out of him.
The last task was to take everything we found back to the car (which was at the water tank building) so I felt good that it would be included when the car was picked up for delivery.
