Fuel and Oil Temperature Gauges

The previous owner decided that he preferred to have the oil temperature gauge in the instrument cluster rather than down by the clock.  The swap was done very nicely with a wiring harness of 5 wires to run the wiring between the two gauges

.

I prefer it the other way as it makes the fuel gauge very difficult to see as it is hidden behind the headlight stalk.  Since I had the instrument cluster apart to replace the binnacle, it was an appropriate time to swap the two gauges back.

Once the cluster was off, removing the oil temperature gauge was just disconnecting the wiring and unscrewing the knurled nut that holds it in place with a bracket.

The small cluster with the clock and fuel gauge is held in with a couple of screws.  Once they were removed the whole cluster was free and it was easy to remove the fuel gauge.

Then I just had to remove the extra wires, plug everything back in the right places and tighten the gauges down.  Now the fuel gauge is where I can see it easily.
