Kerry's 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Restoration (1643GT)

I had been looking for another Ferrari project car since my 330 GT was almost done.  I was going to look at a 195 Inter (SN 0101S), but it got sold the week before I was to see it.  I did look at another PF coupe (SN 1643), but couldn't come to an agreement on price given the number of parts that couldn't be located.

I bought another PF coupe from Tom Shaughnessy.  A while after that, Tom mentioned that he had brokered the sale of the original PF coupe (1643) to someone near Seattle.  He asked if he could deliver it to my shop.  Of course I said yes since that would allow me to have an example to look at and compare parts to.  Most of the missing parts on this car had been found.  I'm not sure where because I spent 4 hours poking through boxes, behind things, etc. and couldn't even find large items like the radiator when I looked at it originally.

To make a long story short, 1765GT turned out to be a larger project than originally anticipated.  So I ended up with 1643GT much to my delight.  It was the project car I originally wanted and now have.  I'm not sure what will happen to 1765GT right now (later sold as is), but it will be helpful to continue to compare parts.

Inspection at Tony Nancy's shop

As you can see it has a unique feature of a steel sunroof.  The other feature is wood veneer on the dash instead of the usual painted metal dash.

After restoration.
