Kerry's 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Restoration (1765GT)

Parts, Parts and more Parts

The next order of business was to unpack the car and sort out the parts.

As you can see, the car was jammed full of parts, boxes and large things like the transmission.  Tom has wire tied the radiator, engine with heads, intake manifolds, carburetors and air cleaner in the engine compartment.

When I inspected the car, one of the items that couldn't be found was the Ferrari hood emblem.  So Tom included one from his parts inventory.  Of course, he 'installed' it so it wouldn't get lost or damaged with the other parts.

After sorting through everything, I did find the original hood emblem, so this one above will go back to Tom.

A week or so ago, I went to Costco and bought several rolling wire racks to hold all of these parts.  These let me load them up (near the car) and then store them packed together against one wall.  But since they roll easily, I can just pull the right one out to get at any box or part that I need to.

After several hours of sorting parts, I got everything boxed, labeled and put on the racks.  Some of the missing parts were found during the sorting, but several weren't.  Here's a page of my missing parts.

Now I just have a couple of years of work ahead of me.
