Kerry's 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Restoration (1765GT)

Shipping

Tom works with a couple of companies that specialize in shipping cars.  It turns out that Michael Shirley (Tom's favorite shipper) has a trip scheduled up to the Northwest within a couple of weeks.  So the car should be picked up today (Mar 10) or tomorrow and be delivered to me in Seattle by the end of the week.

Well, due to lousy weather up here in the NW, Mike didn't pick up the car until the 16th.  However, he had it here at 1 PM on the 17th.  Mike's rig is well setup up for transporting two cars at a time.  It's a fifth wheel with an electric winch to pull the cars in and control them on the way out.  There are two sets of controls for the winch, with one at the front and the other at the rear.  The rear door is one big gate that drops down and has the built-in ramps.  So it's really easy with no sharp angles to scrape the underside of a car.

Now the shop is full of Ferraris but only two of them are mine.  The other two are Lowell Brown's.  As Lowell winters in Santa Fe, it was easier to have his cars out here where I could drive them every month or so instead of going to his house in Seattle to do that.
