Kerry's 330 GT Restoration

Fraser Valley Drive

The Western Canada region of the FCA had a drive combined with the Italian Car Club of Vancouver.  This worked in nicely with my skiing.  I drove the 330 up the previous weekend and then from Whistler back down to Langley to meet the group in the morning.

There were about 20 cars for the drive, with the majority being Ferraris.  In addition, a couple of Lambos, various Alfas, Fiats and a lone XKE showed up.

I hadn't driven out east of Vancouver except on Trans-Canada 1, so I was pleasantly surprised about how much farmland there was.  The only hitch was the remnants of a bad head-on accident that blocked us for about ½ hour.  But it was a comfortable day (about 20° C/we were in Canada, eh or 68° F).

After that, the next stop was at Township 7 Winery for some wine tasting.

The final stop was for a barbecue at a Austin Healey club member's house.  Adrienne has a large grassed area that easily accommodated all of the cars, including a few Healey's too.  I picked the shady spot.

There were a couple of interesting cars there.

A very pleasant way to get home from Whistler.
