Kerry's 330 GT Restoration
One of the events that the Northwest region of the FCA does is a drive over to a Veteran's Home in Port Orchard, WA. There we give a ride to any of the veterans that want one. I specifically drove the 330 as it's easier to get in and out of and many of the vets aren't very ambulatory.
Port Orchard is over on Bainbridge Island, either a 40 minute ferry ride from Seattle or a 90 minute drive around to the south through Tacoma. Several of us opted for the ferry.
Once there, I ended up giving six rides. One gentleman needed about 5 minutes to get into the car and a similar time to get out. But once it the car and settled, he really enjoyed the ride.
On the way home, I stopped by and saw the previous owner of my car. Tim hadn't seen the car in several years, in particular after I got it back on the road in 1999.
He was glad to see how the car has turned out. I told him that my only regret in the whole restoration was that I painted it red instead of the original silver.
