Kerry's 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Restoration (1643GT)

April 2020

Most of the work in April was finishing the body and getting it to the body shop.  A total of 120 hours of work was done.  Due to COVID-19 Stay at Home orders here in Washington state and that I'm in a high risk group (old age sucks), I did not visit the car, so no pictures.

New Pininfarina badges for the sides and crossed flags for the trunk were bought along with new headlights.

The painter come over and created a punch list for areas to address before it went to him.  Among these were:

Then the doors hood and trunk lid were removed and the body and parts were transported to the sand blasters to remove all of the guide paint and oxide from the welding.  When they were done, everything was transported to the paint shop.

The knock offs were cleaned up and one center section replaced with a new one.

The grille was disassembled to be cleaned and polished.

While the car is at the body shop, smaller items like stamping the wiper arms with "Made in Italy", working the the wiper system, fitting the washer bulb to the dash, etc. continue on.
