Dennison Visit 6/16/20

I had to make quick visit to determine where to put the 3-point belt hardware. Will, pictured, wanted my input and I have surgery scheduled tomorrow, so it had to be today or wait for a while.  I also took down the four new wheel and tires that are complete.

They have been working on the dash and the trim parts are ready to go to the platers.

More external parts are being fitted to see if they match the contour of the filler.  You can see that the filler is thicker at the bottom of the headlight bucket area.  This was needed to make each headlight bucket parallel to each other.

The sunroof is fitted and the locking mechanism was tested.  It locks with a quarter turn that causes a cam on the handle to lock the sunroof in any position.  The cam is worn, so it needs to be built up.

The front bumper is now fitting the fender contours, but still needs work where it was cut and welded.  When I was working on the car, my solution was a big tapered rubber pad. I like Dennison's better.

The grille has been disassembled and all of the pieces are being sanded prior to polishing.

The battery box has been removed to it can be cleaned and painted.  Eventually, it will be welded back in place.
