Kerry's 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Restoration (1643GT)
I got an email that the painter had two new paint samples based on Rosso Bordeaux. I picked the darker one on the left.
The interior is being gathered up to make templates and get it ready to go across the parking lot to the upholstery shop.
The trunk trim has been cleaned up, but if they can find the correct material, they will make new pieces as these aren't in the best shape..
They are working on the various chrome parts that are in copper, filing, filling and sanding to get them ready for the final chroming.
The car had been returned to the paint shop, which is on the way home for me, so I stopped by to see the work being done. They are finishing the block sanding and fixing some minor changes done by Dennison to the doors to make them fit better.
The owner was glad that I stopped by. He says that usually he never gets to meet the owner and rarely sees to completed car unless he sees it at a show. I'll be sure to stop by once the car is done so he can see the final product.
