Kerry's 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Restoration (1643GT)

Dennison Visit 8/12/20

I had a couple of parts to drop off at Dennison's.  I had kept the spare tire hold down thinking that I would clean and polish those parts but I decided to let them do it.  I also dropped off an extra fuse panel and wiring harness from another PF coupe.  They might be needed for spare parts.

More fiddly work has been going on, in particular preparation to the final chroming on several parts.

The knock-offs are almost ready to be re-engraved.  They filled some pits so they need to go out for another copper layer and then checked to make sure they are ready.

They cleaned up the windshield and found two areas with significant scratches, so I am going to have a couple of windshields made with one for a spare.  These are made in Canada, so do not have any DOT bug etched on them.  That way a duplicate of the original bug can be etched in the correct place.

The inside mirror is ready to go back together.  The wiper arms need to be engraved, but the correct blades are ready.

Some of the chrome work came back.  These are the pieces that go on the rain drip gutter.

Because of the teak veneer on the dash, there are many chromed pieces that cover the cut ends of the veneer.
