Kerry's 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Restoration (1643GT)

Dennison Visit 10/12/20

I had gone down to Oregon for a FCA NW Region annual meeting which was held at a fabulous collection in Salem

On the way home, I stopped by the shop as it was only a few miles off the freeway.

The car is now off the rolling rack and on a lift in the dyno room.  No lift was available in the shop.  They are hard at work assembling the suspension.  The rear suspension and differential are installed.

The steering box and steering column are in the car.

The front suspension is almost compete.

The wiring has been started with a new fuse panel backing plate.  The front repeater is now the correct type and location.

The lever action shocks have been rebuilt and are installed.

One thing Butch and I discussed were the oil and fuel hoses.  I had made these up, but incorrectly plated the fittings.  I thought that they were nickel, but found out that they were supposed to be cad plated.  I bead blasted them make them duller, but still not the look of cad.  So they are going to get new ends or replate mine so they will be correct.  They will probably have to buy some new hose, depending on the condition after they come apart.

So at this point, it is full steam ahead, damn the torpedoes (or cost in this case).  Actually the torpedoes were underwater mines as this quote was from the US Civil War in the 1860s.
