Kerry's 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Restoration (1643GT)
I had an appointment about half-way to Dennison, so I decided to continue on down and check on the progress. Last week, I told Butch that I wanted one of the cars back by 9/25 as that is the Festa Italiana weekend at the Seattle Center. I've been every year in the last 15 or so except 2020 where it was canceled due to Covid.
They have the engine assembled except for the distributors. Now they are waiting on the engine dyno to be available.
Butch said that the PF wouldn't be done by then. After the engine dyno, they have to re-install the engine and transmission. Then run it on the rolling dyno for the final tuning. He also wants to do a final buffing as they have had lots of pads, etc. over the paint while working on it, but there will still be very fine scratches.
In the meantime, it's sitting forlorn off to the side with an empty engine bay.
