Kerry's 330 GT Restoration
When I first redid my car, I replaced the leather that surrounds the fuel release lever. However, the leather I used was pretty soft and with the seat belt buckle being dropped along side of the seat, several nicks and marks ended up on the leather.
Of course, there is the Pininfarina body number crayoned on the inside, though 41 is not the right number for my car! It should be 92.
So I decided to replace the leather with some that's a little sturdier.
First I had to remove it from the car, which isn't the easiest process. See when I took Lowell Brown's out to get a key made. Once I had it out, I stripped off the old leather and bead blasted to remove the little bits and get some rusty areas clean. Then it was time to cut and fit the new leather.
Everything is back together ready for the concours in a week or so.
